  • 8 oz rice noodles (or lo mein/udon)
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Toss the sliced beef with cornstarch until evenly coated. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Sear the beef in batches until browned; remove from skillet.
  4. Stir-fry broccoli and bell pepper in the same skillet for about 4 minutes. Add garlic and ginger; cook for another minute.
  5. Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar; add to the skillet along with beef and noodles.
  6. Toss everything together until well combined; serve garnished with green onions.
