  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/23 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, warm olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  2. Add ditalini pasta and stir well.
  3. Pour in chicken broth to cover the pasta, then add salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to simmer, and cook for 9-10 minutes.
  4. Check doneness; stir occasionally. Some broth will remain to absorb.
  5. Stir in heavy cream while simmering for one minute.
  6. Remove from heat; mix in butter and parmesan until melted into a creamy sauce.
  7. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
