  • 450g firm tofu
  • 1/4 red onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • 1 tsp dried mint
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/21 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 65g plain flour/chickpea flour
  • 15g fresh parsley
  • 15g fresh coriander
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Break the tofu into small pieces and combine it in a mixing bowl with chopped onion, minced garlic, spices, salt, black pepper, tomato puree, flour, parsley, and coriander.
  2. Mash the mixture until it holds together well. Shape into small kebabs or patties.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and cook each kebab for about one minute on each side until golden brown.
  4. Serve warm with your choice of sides.
