  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the apples into wedges about 1/2 inch thick, removing the core and seeds.
  2. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. Arrange breaded apple slices in a single layer in the basket, lightly spray them with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar over hot apple fries and serve with your choice of dipping sauce.
