  • 4 slices turkey bacon (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (pounded)
  • salt and fresh ground pepper (to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked or sweet paprika
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill weed
  • ½ teaspoon dried chives
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • chopped fresh parsley
  • sliced green scallions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Cook diced turkey bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add vegetable oil and brown the pounded chicken breasts on both sides. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, dill weed, and chives.
  5. Place browned chicken in the baking dish and spread the cream cheese mixture over each breast.
  6. Top with turkey bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for about 15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
