  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Shaoxing apple vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 white onion, chopped
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in soy sauce, Shaoxing apple vinegar, and cornstarch for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet; sear marinated chicken until browned, then set aside.
  4. Stir-fry ginger, garlic, onion, and bell peppers until fragrant.
  5. Add the sauce mixture to the skillet; stir until thickened.
