  • 1 cup vegan butter
  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Cinnamon and sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat vegan butter and sugar until creamy. Mix in applesauce and vanilla.

  5. Chill dough if too soft. Roll into 1-inch balls and coat in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Place on the baking sheet with space in between and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
  7. Allow cooling slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
