  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • ¾ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and apple cider until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls; then roll each ball in sugar before placing on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool briefly before transferring to wire racks.
